Taking A Bow
Still big news, bows are a super easy
win on the wow factor front! If the
guests are due and your tree is
lacking something, add some on -
they’re quick, simple and give instant
glamour. We have a range of easy
clip-on bows (shown here) but if you
don’t have any to hand, you can
create a similar effect with a good
ribbon, especially if it has wired
edges and holds its shape well. And
remember to cut a slant on the ends
to give the perfect finishing touch.
Stylist's Hack
Using a decoration to hold cutlery or
a napkin is a beautiful, and quick,
way to bring a stylist’s touch to the
Christmas table. You can stick to a
theme if you have one, or choose
items that match each individual
guest. If you’re using decorations that
aren’t flat, select the smallest
available so they don’t crowd other
items. And finish everything off with a
length of ribbon or twine.
Window Wow
If you’re worried your sills look bare,
add some last minute finishing
touches, using up spare foliage, tree
toppers and ornaments. Arrange
them in a group to add appeal and
interest, ideally using objects of
varying heights.
Layered Tablescaping
Getting the table right should be fun
but can be a challenge if time is tight.
The easiest and quickest way to
achieve a great result is to layer,
starting with a runner down the
middle and building up from there,
using items with height down the
centre strip. Include foliage, candles
and glasses, then move on to the
actual place settings.
Wrapping Wow
Add some last minute wow to your
gift wrapping by looping
decorations onto the ribbon. Stick
the person’s name on a small label
on the back or, if there’s space,
write on the decoration for a truly
personalised tag.
