If you are stuck for ideas as to how to entertain the children this Easter, then why not do some Easter baking and make some chocolate easter egg nest cakes. They are quick and easy to make and taste delicious!

Easter Baking | Chocolate Easter Egg Nest Cakes

Easter Baking | Chocolate Easter Egg Nest Cakes (Country Kitchen Storage Jar 37854, Pink Ceramic Cake Stand 32588, Ceramic Hen Jar 80559 and Pastel Wooden Daisy Garland 40308)

Ingredients

Makes 12

225g plain chocolate, broken into pieces

2 tbsp golden syrup

50g butter

75g cornflakes cereal

36 mini chocolate eggs

 

Method

1. Line a 12-hole cake tin with paper cases.

2. Melt the chocolate golden syrup and butter in a bowl set over a pan of gently simmering water, be careful to not let the base of the bowl touch the water. Stir the mixture until it is smooth.

3. Remove the bowl from the heat and gently stir in the cornflakes until all of the cereal is coated in chocolate.

4. Divide the mixture between the paper cases and press 3 chocolate eggs into the centre of each nest. Chill in the fridge for an hour or until they have completely set.
